In 2007 he was in charge of two subject researches, one was ¡°Research and Analysis of the Mooring System on Large FPSO¡±, which was a subordinate item of ¡°Research and Development of Large Floating Production Storage Oil-tanker (FPSO)¡± also granted by Shanghai Municipal Economy Council; the other was ¡°Research and Analysis of Motion Behaviour of Shallow Draft Ultra-large FPSO¡±. And in the same year, he took part in the project ¡°Research and Development of an Installation and Maintenance Device for Offing Wind-electricity Generator Set¡±, which was a subordinate item of the programme ¡°Development and Demonstration of Large Power Wind-electricity Generator Set¡±. In 2009 he participated in the project ¡°Research on Lower Cost Foundation Structure for the Construction of Offing Wind-electricity Station and on Engineering Technology for the Construction of Shoal Wind-electricity Station¡±, which was consigned by China Ocean Oil New Energy Sources Investment Co. Ltd. In the same year, he was in charge of the project ¡°Research and Development of the Key Technique of a 7,500 t Lift Crane Ship for Ocean Industry Furnishment¡±, which was an item of ¡°National Science And Technology Supporting Programme¡± subordinated to the ¡°11th Five-year Plan¡± of the Country; and next was in charge of the concept design of a platform for the laying of deepwater detritus bedding, later joined the design of two ships for the installation of Wind-electricity Station near East Sea Bridge, among which one was a conversion and the other was a new building and both were put into use fulfilling the installation task of the Wind-electricity Station near East Sea Bridge. Since 2002, he has been responsible for or taken part in designs of more than 50 large cutter-suction dredgers. In 2008 he was honoured as a ¡°Super Excellent Young Teacher in Shanghai Universities¡±.

The Party Branch Secretary Qi Yang

Mr. Qi Yang is a doctor, an associate professor and the vice-dean of the School of Naval Architecture and Ocean & Civil Engineering. He is mostly engaged in the research and development of furnishment for new type ships and offshore structures, as well as in the research and design of marine equipment.
Since Dr. Yang began to work, he has always been engaged in the research on ship and offshore structure manufacturing technology or in design of equipment, and in the research and design of major construction furnishment, as well as in teaching. He participated in the research and design of a series of ¡°Frame Cold-bending Machine¡± of a capacity being 160 t, 250 t and so on, the automatic feeding mechanism of the frame cold-bending machine was granted with Practical New Type Patent. He took part in the research and design of ¡°Flange Mounting Positioner¡±. He was in charge of the research on ¡°the Theory and Test of Ultra-large Ship Undocking and Bollard Testing¡± which was accomplished with great success. He was responsible for and fulfilled the research on the ¡°Moving and Repositioning of Ship¡¯s Aft-end after Pre-erection in Building Dock¡±, and applied for the invention patent to ¡°Aft End Grand Block Moving and Repositioning Device¡±. Besides, ¡°Extrusion Grab for Silt Cleaning¡± to which he contributed was also applied for the invention patent.
